Dear Next Generation: Other People's Shoes Podcast with Don Mann
Have you ever seen a US Flag draped over a coffin? Have you seen the Service personnel fold this flag?
I believe this is still one of the most impactful moments of my life, watching this take place is powerful, and emotional. Who is this "next generation" to answer this call to defend and perhaps die for this country?
My guest today is Don Mann. Don is a former U.S. Navy SEAL. The U.S. Navy SEALs, officially established in 1962 by President John F. Kennedy, evolved from the Navy's Underwater Demolition Teams (UDTs) of World War II. These elite warriors were created to conduct unconventional warfare, specializing in direct action, special reconnaissance, counter-terrorism, and foreign internal defense. Being a U.S. patriot means embodying the values of courage, dedication, and selflessness, traits exemplified by the SEALs.
It's crucial to strive to be stronger, faster, and smarter not just for personal growth, but to serve and protect the nation effectively. Individuals can contribute to a better society by doing something good for others, reflecting the SEALs' commitment to defending freedom and helping those in need. This ethos of continuous improvement and altruism strengthens individual capabilities and patriotism's collective spirit.
Join me as we try on Don Mann's shoes.
